What is B213 Visa Bali?

B213 visa is another term for Visa on Arrival (VoA). It is the most convenient and cheapest visa to enter Indonesia which you can purchase at the airport or online before arriving in the country.

Application, Cost, and Requirements

The application process for a B213 visa is straightforward. You can obtain it when you set foot at the airport or apply before arriving in the country online.

At the airport or seaport, you can apply for a B213 visa at the available counter. Fill out the application form and present the immigration officer with the following:

  • Passport, valid for at least six months;
  • Return or onward ticket;
  • Payment of $35 (US).

If everything is settled, they will stamp your passport with visa and entry date, and you’re good to go. The only downside to this method is that you have to be ready for a queue. If you’re lucky, you can get it done in 15 minutes. If not, it could take up to 30 minutes, depending on how crowded the airport is.

For a more convenient way to obtain the B213 visa, you can apply online before you arrive in the country. Visit the official e-visa website for Indonesia and click Apply. The steps are more or less the same and you can apply 14 days before your travel. This method allows you to avoid queues and eliminate potential disruptions impacting the quality of your trip.

Extension and Overstaying

B213 Visa Bali

B213 is extendable once for another 30 days. In total, you can stay in Indonesia for 60 days, and after that, you need to leave the country. It’s not convertible to another type of visa, such as a Single-Entry Tourist Visa or KITAS.

You can do the visa extension offline or online – both require you to be on Indonesian soil. If you’re doing it offline, you’ll have to do the following things:

  • Visit the immigration office near you and request an extension form.
  • Fill in the form and submit your passport.
  • You’ll get a waiting ticket and you can collect your receipt when your number is called.
  • While your passport is in the immigration’s hand, the receipt will be your temporary identity proof.
  • Pay for the extension.
  • Look at the receipt and you’ll see the date you need to come back. On your second visit, they’ll ask you for a quick biometric session.
  • On your last visit, return to the immigration and take your passport and your B213 visa will be extended automatically.

Note that the extension process can take up to 14 days and can be really time-consuming, considering you need to go back and forth to the immigration office thrice.

If you don’t leave when it expires (overstaying your visa), you’ll be fined a million rupiah a day. If you keep doing it, the immigration will detain you, or worse, deport and ban you from coming back to the country. So be aware of your period of stay!
